Kessler Shock
Our polluting nature is not only affecting Earth but outer space as well.
Kessler Shock is a short graphic story showing the immediate aftermath of a world that is affected by the Kessler Syndrome. In this post-syndrome environment, renewable energy is vital when communication is lost and power outages would run rampant across the planet.
Our intention in creating this fictional scenario was to highlight how important it is to be prepared for the possibility that our reality can drastically change at a moments notice. As individuals we should invest in renewable energies due to their sustainability, in other words they don’t crap everywhere.
*Kessler Syndrome: when the density of objects in low Earth orbit is high enough that collisions between objects could cause a cascade where each collision generates space debris that increases the likelihood of further collisions.
Posters were exhibited in the Grouphug collective NYCxDesign 2019 show: Renew me.  The theme of the show was energy and the environment. Click here to find out more.
